I think that you should do an article about all the terrific free auction sites! It's such a shame that there are some good sites out there even new ones but ebay gets all the attention. I personally like to use ioffer .ca to save on fees! It's not nearly as busy yet but it's growing quickly and it's easy to use!

I am a founder and member of The Big Ticket Depot, owned by Joel Sauceda. If you haven't heard of us yet, you soon will. We are going to be focusing on Selling Big Ticket Items for Powersellers. We do all the advertising for you. The Client side will be launching some time this week. Joel has given me 100 vouchers to give to top power sellers to use to list their items when we go live. This will enable you to list items for *free... Yes, absolutely free.
If you are interested in obtaining one of these vouchers please email me and let me know, as they are limited and they will go fast.
Sincerely,
Betsy Dobson - 300 Elite founder/BigTicketDepot
