I am not suprized...

I am not suprized. After all, it would be in their "best interest" to get rid of any incriminating evidence that would be relevant to AMD's case. How much do you want to bet that none of this information is retrievable? Unless it's still on the harddisk somewhere, it's gone.

If my IT-department purged every e-mail older than 35 day we'd have a serious problem. I find it hard to believe that would be any different at Intel's.

Anybody work at a firm that deletes your files like that?

Work at a company as big as Intel? With as much internal and external traffic as Intel? Just because YOUR IT Dep. works in a certain way doesn't mean everyone else does.
