HP's Higher Revenue
by lrd123 February 20, 2007 8:01 PM PST
So, how much of this was due to actual increases in margins and sales and how much was from laying off people last quarter? Hurd's been playing the latter game now for many quarters and this game plan won't last forever.

HP is becoming more like IBM with stale products and is quickly losing its edge on the consumer side.

It won't be long before HP's on the skids too- O mean how many people can you layoff?

All of this increase in profit is coming on the backs of laidoff workers, hammering suppliers on costs (who now do most of HP's development) and slashing R&D budgets. Where are the compelling new technologies? You can only go so far branding other companies' products and not providing any innovation on your own.

My 2002 HP computer...

My 2002 HP desktop computer has Just Worked perfectly since the day I bought it. Never a repair, never a software problem, never a problem of any kind.

As for the operating system, I have never had a virus, never had a worm, never had any spyware, and never needed to reinstall Windows. I guess my computer forgot to read Apple's silly propaganda. -lol

My next computer is going to be an HP too.
