A farside cartoon showing how a dog just hears the word "food" and everything is is "bla bla bla" relates to things said by corporations during profit announcements: "Bla bla bla .. 5.3% bla bla bla". The other things said are important, just not interesting.

(3 Comments)The problem with this memo is that he never addresses the unethical actions taken as a result of Ms. Dunn's "Investigation". Maybe he views the information leak (which was non-information anyway) as worse than the illegal gathering of phone (and other) records of both Board members as well as Reporters, I don't.
It appears as though Mark Hurd is going to "cave in" to Ms. Dunn and the "Capone" Board and let this slide.
Note to stock analysts: Have you checked your phone records lately? Some analysts interviewed scoffed at this being anything meaningful to them or the worth of the company, Wise Up!
Ms. Dunn has already proven that she can turn on her own board members and external influences, do you think that you are immune? How long has this been going on?
If I were an analyst recommending HP I would be very concerned that it's going to come back and bite me in the rear, why? Becuase it looks like to Mark Hurd and PatriciaGate gang that this is the new "HP Way".
