Growth stock or dividend stock? Neither?

Revenues and earnings were up...but the stock is down about 5%. The stock market is all about expectations and momentum. Microsoft didn't meet expectations and has lost momentum due to product delays and organizational changes.

Microsoft is no longer a "growth" stock, and hasn't been for 5 years or more. Microsoft is a "blue chip" stock that should be paying much higher dividends.

Microsoft is firmly stuck in the middle, and gets the stock market rewards of neither class. Microsoft has three choices, too long to explain here, but I do discuss them in my blog http://dondodge.typepad.com/the_next_big_thing/2006/04/microsoft_growt.html
