Scott, thanks for 22 fabulous years. I remember using Sun workstations back in the early 90's when I graduated from Leeds Uni, UK, in Computer Science. Your dedication and steadfast vision have held ever-true and have positioned Sun uniquely to reap the rewards of the "participation age" with cellular phones, DReaM, identity management (Liberty Alliance), throughput computing, ZFS file systems, the Sun Grid compute utility, SunRay, etc. Your decision to step aside at this time shows true honour, dignity and courage. May Jon Schwartz embody the zeitgeist through the next decade and more of Sun success.

(John Kyle R.)as is; denotes a volenteer armed forces.
However; you may or have never read my work at Sun Micro. though my efforts were directed to and for the benefit of the Global infrastructure and software providers.
Much success in your forthcoming exit for a better tommorrow.
