- You wonder why analysts think customers care about company hierarchy and I assume you are thinking of customers as individual end user, "joe average" type entities. If you think larger scale, you can imagine that a corporation is more of a partner with Lenovo and they are looking for security, longevity, stability in their partner. If I am buying thousands of ThinkPads each year, I want to know that my partner will be stable, expanding, inventing, etc...
