I hate to say it...

...because I think they are a great company and do add some needed competition for Microsoft but Google is being unethical here. Even after a year goes by of course the good Dr. will have a good idea of the internal direction of Microsoft's research which will help Google cut them off at the pass. If I was MS, I would show Google what hordes of cash can do and go buy up half of Google's key developers.

Your MS remedy is doing the very thing that you say is unethical. If it is indeed unethical, then why wasn't Microsoft sued for all the workers they poached? They have a history of this.
