Why go with "express editions" when you can have full Databases with MySQL or PostgreSQL

The restrictions are on number of cpus and amount of memory that can be used, not database feature/function.
MySQL is a toy.

Come on, MySQL is a toy for non-business critical applications. It's like comparing a rolodex to a Palm Pilot.

This is a good move on IBM's part. DB2 is a superior DBMS. The next release of DB2 will support XML.
