Confusion????

Article says: "A rack packed with servers today can consume
about 20,000 watts of power and throw off a correspondingly
large amount of waste heat, said Dan Busby, director of product
design for Egenera. Using the Liebert cooling, the waste heat is
only the equivalent of a rack drawing 1,500 watts, he said."

Seems to me that the heat generated is from the power used by
the processors and other electronics. These components are still
there, still using the same power. All a cooling system can do is
move the heat faster, keeping internal temperatures lower.

I think that the quote is a bit in error.

The heat output is still the same, just spread
out. I noted that error as well.
