If it is still part of the OS, then it is still a massive security hole.

@ The_Decider, Vista is a heck of a lot more secure than the Mac OS right now.

After using IE 8 for a few days, the verdict is in. This is an excellent browser. Not only is it faster, and far more solid than beta one, its improved in every way you can think of. Using it is like a dream.
IE 8 is a winner. No need bothering with any other browser. Just go download IE 8 and use it. Period.

Awesome update! Seriously! MS decision to make it standard compliant would suffice to say the importantace of IE8. I had some minor problems making the site compatible to run on IE8 but once done, it worked fine on all other browsers with any custom codes for those browsers! No more need to make the javascripts browser type aware. It's compatible!

Heartful thanks to Microsoft!

I only use IE to access the web version of my company's Exchange email. I decided to download and try IE8. I wasnt surprised that my first use of IE8 was to log into Microsoft's own Exchange server web mail application and IE crashed. Wouldn't you think that Microsoft would make sure that a new IE would be compatible with their own software?!?!?!?
