Comments on: Is this bike made from spider webs?

It's a bike that's made from a few really long strands of carbon fiber. It doesn't weigh much--and it definitely turns heads.

Always Mountain Bikes
by Dachi November 19, 2007 4:40 PM PST
They spend 300 hours to build a $12,000 2.7 lb frame, only to bolt on a 10 lb front suspension onto it.

This is a bit like fitting a Bugatti Veyron with a snow plow.

MTBs are cool... ;)

really..suspension fork now a days are really light...so your heavy fork argument doesn't really hold...

road bikes are already way lighter than UCI allows anyway :-P

Since mountain biking is kind of a dirty sport, I imagine keeping
this bike clean would be a real pain.

Another Environmental Hazard set free on the planet
by Im-Not-TED November 20, 2007 7:40 AM PST
Carbon tubes are nasty little man-made inventions that will never breakdown in the environment. This is just more crap to pollute the planet. The only way to stop the kind of pollution is to boycott the junk. Do not buy this environmental hazard.

Carbon Fixing
by Mark Molloy November 20, 2007 12:54 PM PST
Hey isn't the fact that the process takes carbon out of the cycle and fixes it so that it doesn't breakdown to CO2 a good thing?

I am sure you have plenty of evidence in support to your statement. I would be more than eager to hear them, since your post sounds SO scientifically sound...

The Arantix is a extremely strong high performance mountain bike. Isolates impact and is a real attention grabber. Riding the bike first hand is a must.
