we all are deep fan of the small David against the big giant.. and even if we are not, well, price are better this way, let's face it. But they keep announcing (like Intel does), without delivering. crazy from a business angle, desperate even.. Stop making noise, kick Barcelona out and make cheap boards. Nothing else!

AMD while being my "chip of choice" is starting to wear thin my favoritism by dragging out their plans to even catch up to the current Intel chips.
It seems that AMD sat on their thumbs while they had the performance advantage and have now gone back to being the "Inexpensive Alternate" to Intel. AMD needs to at least double up on it's CPU research teams to compete for the best design. Even internally a little competition and maybe some University coordination would go a long way in catching up and even regaining the crown. It may set AMD back some bucks but if they don't do something pretty radical soon then they will be back where they were 5 years ago.

i do have to say this is a bit crazy amd should have got there you know what in gear they had intel right where they wanted them with the release of the 64bit chips but since than have not done much if they dont get the next best thing soon i think they will be really hurting and i might have to buy an intel chip . and that means its bad if i am about to do that never had intel and was never going to go there but if amd dont shape up and ship some new chips i think its time for them to close the doors and give up
