AMD for me please.

No offence to Intel, but I will stick with AMD. I have no doubt that the Intel product will be fine, but Intel hasn't really had a good track record with it's new releases. Of course the way they are pushing to get these released both will probably be buggy.

Probably by the time I get ready to buy they will both be stable. Either way, unless Intel does something spectacular with theirs, I will still buy AMD.

As far a Dell goes though, they won't get my business. I put Dell in the same catagory as HP and Packard Bell. They sell mostly crap. Just my opinion.

How odd...

If you read Anandtech or any reputeable technical publications, you could as easily say the same thing for AMD requiring multiple BOIS updates proir to getting the fully advertised functionality out of them.

That is, when they quietly ignore the design and manufacturing errata's in their chips.

So what? AMD 954 pin mainboards are ready now!
by brocksamson April 11, 2005 12:41 PM PDT
the Nvida SL4 based mainboards from MSI/Giga/ASUS that are 954 pin are ready now for AMD dual cores. Probably just need a Bios upgrade.

Where are the mainboards for the Intel Dual Core chips?

Intel moves up their schedule by a couple months right after AMD says they're releasing in April? Seems a bit shady to me... We'll see if Intel actually delivers.
