Intel stated that the "shipped" more. This of course doesn't mean that they are actually selling more, it means they have shipped more chips to OEMs. Intel accounting lets them count any product shipped to be accounted as a sale, EVEN IF NOBODY BUYS IT!

Pants on Fire..
I see you are right in noting that INTEL is playing games here. They only announced the 64bit chips a few minutes ago..
But it is true that they will outsell the AMD's
and probably operate within heat tolerances better..
Maybe the AMD's are the ones that'll be on fire!
And now WINDOWS announces a 64bit version.. Barrett only forgot to thank MICROSOFT for the delay!
