Update
by birds110 April 21, 2006 12:19 AM PDT
For the last 2 days I have received and update to outlook express, its for the junk filter. When I click to install it, it tries to install then says it failed and 3 minutes later it shows up again and says I need to update, I have tried several times but it keeps telling me it failed and then comes back, so now it just sits in my try at the bottom cuz it won't install and it won't go away. I went to the update windows thing and got the same thing it failed 15 times to install but it keeps insisting that I need to install it.. Any one have any suggestion???? Please help

...and install thunderbird.

And here you'll find the manual on how to do this:

There is not one single argument why you would want to keep messing around with a defective product, when good alternatives exist.

When I had the same problem I just unchecked the update and told it not to tell me about the update any more. After the dialog went away, I immediately shutdown and rebooted the computer. The problem went away for a while and came back. I used the same proceedure anothe time or two and the problem finally stopped. I haven't had it happen again (yet).

I have Windows XP Professional Version 5.1 (Build 2600.xpsp_sp3.gdr.090206-1234:Service Pack 3). I used to be able to open jpeg email attachments, and now I can no longer do that without first Saving the attachments, w/c is a hassle. I can open all other attachments, except that jpegs. Can someone pls. help me? Under Security Settings, the "Do not allow attachments..." and "Block images.." check boxes are already UNCHECKED. So, I need a different solution. Thanks.
