I have the same problem as 2riches. After a year, mine was started showing some lines across the TV. It started with few lines when it first turned on then became multiple lines after few minutes watching it. Now the lines is about 1' thick and permanently stayed on when the TV is turning on. I contacted the Customer Service and they asked me to send them some photos of the problem via email. I sent it to them and they refered me to contact the technical support. After few attemps they are not returning my call or email about the problem. For awhile I didn't bother to contact them back, now I see more bad news about Olevia. I stucked with one of their product.

Well, this'll sound familiar. Have had the LT27HVS since 2005. I have always kept it set on 4:3 aspect ratio. I just recently set it for "full screen" and guess what? There's burn-in where the black bars used to be on both sides! I didn't think LCD screens were subject to burn-in. Anybody experience this? Forget calling tech support. I can't even get past pressing option 3. Death hold ensues. Question: will a miracle occur and the faint black bars disappear after keeping the entire screen lit going forawrd?

I've had a 232T refurb for 3 years now only paid 375.00 and not one problem. I'm actually looking to buy one of their 42" or 47" models.

I have had a olevia HDTV model 237-T12 for over three years now and have never had a problem with it. it has moved with me four times, twice on trips over a 1000 miles each way and it still works just as good as it did when I bought it. I have never had a tv that has handled over two moves, let alone four. I wish more tv's held up as well as this one has for me.
The tv has a great picture and all the plug ins I could ever ask for, and when matched with my sony home theater it is the best set up I have ever had. I only wish I could say the same of my past units. for the price the quality can not be surpassed. As far as I am concerned, at age 43, I have had a lot of diffrent units and not one of them has compaired to this TV.

I've had a 26" and 47" for about 1 1/2 years and love em both. Went thru comparison shopping hoops when I bought them and the picture quality is way out front.......Was thinking about getting another. To hear about their bankruptcy was sad.

Have owned a 237T model bought at Kmart in January, 2008. Not a single hint of a problem after 23 months. Parents have owned a 42" 1080P Olevia for just over a year, not a single problem.
Bottom line, duh, every company makes some defective individual items here and there. Just cuz you get one, don't trash the entire brand. You're always going to hear from the people that have problems with a product. Happy customers don't usually bother taking the time to express what went RIGHT. Well, I'm bothering to say Olevia's, for the majority, are excellent. Great picture, great sound, great value.
Side note: just because someone sells something for a living, doesn't make them an expert on the products. Not saying they CAN'T be an expert, just be cautious...

Ehh I've had my Olevia for well over 2 years and I've never had an issue with it. I got the 32 inch before they started advertising during football games and stuff like that. I had another TV that I took back after 2 weeks because of power failure, ended up with the Olevia instead and never had a n issue with the brand, picture, or anything else for that matter. Sure if I really cared a ton about what my buddies thought of my TV and stuff I'd end up with a Samsung LED, but for how much I honestly watch TV I don't need to spend the money on that.
