Hellboy is based on the Dark Horse comic of the same name; not a video game. Any Hellboy video games were similarly based on the comics. Check your facts: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hellboy

I don't think they were implying that "Hellboy" originated as a video game, just that they like the new video game "Hellboy 2" based off of the movie. ....I could be wrong?
