Your choice: Sex or a plasma TV

February 8, 2008 12:36 PM PST – Posted by Michelle Meyers

In response to a survey of 2,000 Britons conducted by electronics retailer Comet, almost half of the men polled said they would give up sex for six months in return for a 50-inch plasma TV, according to Reuters.

That compared with just over a third of women who were willing to make the same sacrifice for the big-screen television.

I'm sorry... does that say "Half of UK men would swap sex for 50-inch TV"? I hope that's not with "each other" per se, though I do reckon the Brits might be a little off.

Besides... a plasma? Seriously? It's would be a race to see who would last longer, the guy having sex, or the plasma before burn-out.

But the sex they were giving up was with UK women, which makes this a little more understandable.

Questions were stupid. They meant: "would you promise celibacy for 6 months for a guaranteed delivery of 50 inch plasma TV"
The answer was obviously YES, because donors of a TV would not be able to verify, even less to enforce the agreement.
Interviewers were dumb, Britons are smart and *****.
I wonder why the original article vanished from CNET link?
