- Twitter added photo filters in it's latest move against Instagram. But Instagram also updated its app with new camera options.

- Twitter's new profiles will roll out to every user on Wednesday. So if you don't already have a header photo, your icon will just sit behind a gray box. Here's a quick how-to for changing your Twitter header photo.

- Xbox is adding several new apps, including an app for CNET videos. Now you can catch up with CNET Update on your Xbox. Microsoft also added an app for SkyDrive, to pull in photos and videos saved on the cloud service.
