Even after providing a number of workarounds for problematic Wi-Fi connection problems with the iPad, Apple now says it will offer a fix in the form of a software update in the future.
There is no date given for when this update would arrive.
Apple says a "very small number of people" have experienced the problem.
Reports of Wi-Fi connection issues first appeared following the release of the Wi-Fi-only model iPad in early April. One of the most reported problems was weak or fluctuating signal strength, which resulted in slow downloads. Apple also published some temporary fixes at the time.
