Google Videos enables Froyo phones to rent movies
Google Videos update for Android phones running Froyo and Gingerbread will enable users to rent movies from Android Market.
Google's Videos app has been updated to enable some Android smartphone users to watch movie rentals accessed from the Android Market.
The HTC EVO 4G will run Gingerbread.

The app will also enable the properly equipped phones to watch personal video. If you have the right software, you also must have the latest version of the Android Market on your phone. The Google Videos app allows you to manage the movies you've rented and it will also display a list of the most-rented flicks.
The popularity of Google's Android should make it a force for providing entertainment content. Netflix has said that data shows significant numbers of people watch video on their handhelds.
That should be clear to anyone riding New York's subway system. Lots of people staring into cellphones watching movies or TV shows and then leaping out of seats when they realized they've missed their stop.
