Flipboard CEO on his iPad 'social magazine' (podcast)

Mike McCue tells Larry Magid about the new Flipboard iPad application that lets your friends help assemble your personal magazine.

A new iPad application called Flipboard allows you to create your own "social magazine" based on recommendations from your Twitter and Facebook friends. The end result, according to Flipboard CEO Mike McCue, is that it "lets you see all the things that people are sharing with you like you would see things in a magazine." Instead of having to click on shortened links from Twitter or Facebook, you see the content laid out on the iPad screen almost as if it were put together by a magazine layout editor with what McCue describes as "beautiful photographs, very nice layout, very scannable." In this 9-minute 16-second podcast interview, McCue tells Larry all about the new application.
