From the Consumer Electronics Show, Larry Magid talks with Wall Street Journal columnist Walter Mossberg about Palm's new Pre cell phone and Yahoo's new Internet TV. Both Mossberg and Magid were impressed by the Palm phone, and Mossberg had some good things to say about Yahoo's TV initiative.

I'm a pretty loyal Windows Mobile user, however what I've seen so far is very impressive and may entice me to switch. We've even started a community over at http://www.SprintPre.net to chat about it.

Walt, the reason I like an external battery is that when the original battery goes toes up it's easy to swap out with a new one. I've had to swap out my Treo batteries several times over their lifes....

Would have been nice if the rest of us minions could have played with the Pre as well. I agree with the posting at www.fromwhereistand.info. It kind of sums up my opinion as well of Palm this week. They were turning away lots of us from thier little hideaway yesterday!
