Share2Me is essentially a button for forwarding any content to MySpace, AIM, and a number of e-mail services.

Share2Me

Aimed at 15-to-24 year olds, Share2Me is a logo that sits on your browser (just Firefox for now, Internet Explorer is next). Should you stumble upon a YouTube video or Flickr photo that just MUST be plastered onto your MySpace profile, click the Share2Me logo button and choose whether you want the content forwarded in a MySpace message, as a comment on another's page, or simply on your own MySpace profile. Content also can be sent to any Gmail, Yahoo Mail, MSN Hotmail, and AOL account.

Share2Me features on the way
by MikeBlackwell February 8, 2007 6:36 PM PST
Erica, thanks for the review! We should have the IE version out within a month. We still have some more testing to do but you and your blog readers are welcome to try out the bookmarklet that will work with IE at share2me.com/share. We are also working on including more sharing options by adding additional IM providers and more sharing features like the ability to grab and share a picture on Photobucket or Flickr but so stay tuned as we launch the new features. ?Mike Blackwell of Share2Me

I'm so sad:( Even though i read that Share2Me wasn't yet ready for Internet Explorer, the idea really piqued my interest. So i went to the site anyway, just to check it out further. And like i said- taking the Share2Me "tour" just made me sad that i can't use it with my Internet Explorer browser- which, by the way, is something i'm not quite used to! Anyway, i just think it would be an extremely convenient tool to have- forget all the myspace stuff- i'm more interested in the ability to email stuff easily. I'm always finding images, or text clippings, or websites that i want to send to friends/family, but it seems to always become a hassle- from copying, signing into my email, pasting, etc.- (especially if it's just one little picture, or a small text clip or quote)- it then becomes more of a hassle than it's worth. This would be perfect for me for that reason alone. I'd use it constantly. But on top of the email feature, the ability to send stuff as a myspace comment, or especially, post to your own profile, makes this such a worthy & practical utility... and also makes me wonder why someone wouldn't add this little button to their browser. Well- other than the fact that it DOESN'T WORK FOR I.E! This is an atrocity!! I'm eagerly waiting, impatiently, for it to become available for I.E. While i'm waiting... i'm just wondering if anyone is privy to something similar that DOES work for I.E. Just wondering. While i wait.
