(Credit: Verizon Wireless)After introducing high-profile cell phones like the LG enV(2) and the Samsung Glyde, Verizon Wireless is showing no signs of slowing down. Today the carrier announced another new handset, the Motorola W755. The W755, available in both purple and black, offers a flip phone design with external music controls. Features include a 1.3-megapixel camera, Bluetooth, a memory card slot, VZ Naviagtor GPS support, text and multimedia messaging, and a music player. And since it supports Verizon's 3G EV-Do network it is compatible with the carrier's V Cast streaming video service and V Cast Music. The W755 is $119 with a two-year contract but you get it for $69 if you buy it online.

- I am extremely angry and vehemently appalled by Verizon's attitude towards their customers. I had to get a new phone and settled on the W755. Thereafter, I couldn't get Motorola Phone Tools to add my voluminous contacts. Motorola said that Phone Tools should work - unless I was a Verizon customer. Then I had the privilege of paying full price for a crippled phone. Verizon tech support gave me some bull about crippling to "protect the network". Then they tried to sell me a $5.95/month subscription for a program that essentially does half of what Phone Tools does. That's when the light came on. They will stop at no lie to induce you to spend more money. Fraud? You bet!!

- I agree with Schimmers. It's appalling that Verizon should be permitted to cripple the functionality of phones we have bought in good faith. I guess a legitimate income is not in their greedy corporate agenda. While shopping for a phone I asked specifically if it was possible to download photos from the W755 onto my PC and I was told, "Oh yes, no problem." What liars. I'm complaining to the FCC, and I'll be moving to ATT where that sort of ripoff hasn't crossed their minds .. at least not yet. I'm pretty sure none of these telcos are angels though ... damn! I'm furious.
