Sprint spilled some juicy dish today over is forthcoming Samsung Instinct. The fancy touch-screen cell phone will go on sale Friday, June 20. We don't know the exact price just yet, but, according to Sprint, it will cost less than $300. The Instinct promises a ton of features in a slick design. Inside you'll find a 2-megapixel camera, access to the Sprint Music Store for wireless downloads, stereo Bluetooth, audible caller ID, voice dialing and commands, a full HTML Web browser, a digital music player that shows album art, support for Sprint Radio and Sprint TV, phone as modem capability, Microsoft Live Search, and integrated GPS with Sprint navigation. What's more, the Instinct is the first Sprint handset to have EV-DO Rev. A at birth.

Comparisons to the iPhone are obvious, particularly since the Instinct offers its own version of Visual Voice mail and can show the full thread of a text conversation. The June arrival date is just a coincidence, according to Sprint, but that's hard to believe considering the new 3G iPhone will arrive next month as well.

In any case, this is good news for anyone craving an Instinct. Spring and Samsung announced the device at CTIA last month, and then allowed customers to sign up for more information. We can't wait to give it a full shakedown, but until then you can peruse our Samsung Instinct slide show.

This is the 2nd time that CNET has said that Sprint is letting people reserve a handset. That is not true. Even those the verbiage says "reserve yours now" when you click on it it brings you to a screen that says "Enter your information below. We'll let you know as soon as the Instinct is available." Anyone think that means that they are reserving one for you?

Sounds like Sprint is out on a Phishing expedition. After dealing with them, I think I'll stick with my old Virgin Mobile.

Finally! Sprint is adding some powerful new phones! I never saw the point in Sprint offering all of the advanced features that they offer, but on dated phones.

Geez...is Sprint still in business?

I thought Sprint no longer HAD any more customers because the company nuked them all since they all complained to the CS department too much.

"ON CNET: Much-anticipated iPhone clone out soon."

This heading sounds like something out of The Onion.

I like this phone so far. I am curious what the price will be for existing customers though. I found an interesting site = http://samsunginstinctstore.com

just fyi. Virgin Mobile uses Sprints network for coverage..so your basically a Sprint customer just without all the perks. So you might as well switch over, your shooting yourself in the foot. Just fyi.
