'Sansa Fuze' is leaked--again

(Update: SanDisk sent out a press release announcing the Sansa Fuze this morning, discovered by Engadget. It offers a few more details, such as three sizes--2GB ($80) and 8GB ($130), as well as the previously noted 4GB ($100)--and a listing of compatible subscription services. The Fuze is scheduled to ship in April, in the various colors pictured above.)

Someone at Amazon apparently goofed by jumping the gun on SanDisk's latest media player. The "Sansa Fuze," which had already been leaked a week earlier, made a brief appearance on an Amazon listing that now comes up as a broken link, at least as of late last night. It didn't come up on a search either.

DAP Review had earlier reported finding the Fuze while browsing the e-tailer, saying that "it looks a lot like the love child of the Sansa Clip and the Sansa View. It definitely appears to be designed as a 3G iPod Nano competitor." A 4GB version was listed for $99.99

Specs remained scarce, but the player apparently has a 1.9-inch display, microSDHC memory card slot, FM tuner, and voice recorder, while claiming battery power of 24 hours for music and 5 for video. We're just happy they didn't combine it with the "Shaker" as well.

Wow, I almost bought a Creative Zen. As long as the sd card is integrated with everything instead of being separate then I'll be getting this.

It looks nice and sleek.Im wondering if the item is rechargable or if it lasts on a battery you buy in the store for 24 hours? $80 is such a cheap price for such an attractive looking product.

iPod nano clone not crossing the next-gen of PMPs?

Great, there's a e200 succesor that's slowly catching up to the iPod nano, and I don't just mean thickness. Colours are nice, though the blue ring isn't doing any favours for the non-monochromic colours, giving them a sorta cheap feel. (When has that ever hurt SanDisk?) Apple and Creative can pull off better colours IMO, but is that the point? I'm still a bit disappointed that the Sansa Connect's the only SanDisk player so far to grasp one of the many emerging next-generation PMP features. Yes, the Sansa View is a 32GB flash, but navigation is a bore & chore. Same goes with the rest of SanDisk's PMP line. They're still awesome with the budget babies. Them m200s' still flyin' off the shelves in Amazon! They never seem to run out of those obselette things!

Love the Fuze. I got it a couple weeks ago from www.shopsansa.com. This MP3 player does everything a great MP3 should do. It does the basics, plus lets you listen to the radio, voice record, and has the ability to expand your memory with a microSD slot.
