A recently spotted ad on HowardForums points at the possibility of a new LG slider coming out for Alltel, and it's called the Glimmer. Engadget calls it a combination of the LG Shine and the LG Viewty, which sounds about right. It promises a 2.8-inch touch-screen display, a slider keypad, a 2.0-megapixel camera, a microSD slot, Bluetooth, and EV-DO. And since it's called the Glimmer, we expect it to be one very shiny and eye-catching device as well. No official news from Alltel or LG just yet, but the ad looks pretty legit, so we should expect to see this coming out soon.

I PURCHASED THE LG GLIMMER ON 03/14/08 AND REALLY ONLY HAVE ONE PROBLEM SO FAR ITS NOT LOUD ENOUGH WHEN SOMEONE CALLS OR WHEN ALERTING OF MSG OR VOICEMAIL. NOW MAYBE I AM MISSING SOMETHING I AM STILL GETTING USED TO IT. BUT HAVE THE PHONE ON MAX VOLUME AND STILL CAN'T HEAR IT.
