Vibrating bracelet won't miss a call

After dismissing the concept behind the "BlueQ" wristband alert last year, we were immediately lambasted by readers. (Something that's become all too familiar for some of us.) So we proceed with due caution in passing along this similar product.

The "BluAlert Vibrating Bluetooth Wristband" works on the same principle as the BlueQ: Both are wearable devices that discreetly and wirelessly alert you when you get a call while the phone is in your bag or purse with the ringer turned off, according to 7Gadgets. We do appreciate that this new version at least attempts to look like something other than a sweat band.

At the same time, you may not want to wear one during a job interview. Your prospective employer might think you were on a break from house arrest.

Much better solution
by mmzerofan February 20, 2008 12:42 PM PST
After reading the first article for a similar device, this one seems to be worlds better and looks better.

Outside of the aforementioned use, the idea of it vibrating whenever you are five meters away from your phone will help eliminate lost/left behind cell phones.

I think this is very useful. It's better than having to wear a bluetooth headset all the time (cept of course when you are in the car).

I think a band like that is a great idea, since I do tend to miss calls coz I don't feel my phone vibrating in my pocket. Don't criticise so much lol!

A convenient way to alert deaf and hard-of-hearing people! Now we can be like normal "hearing people" who can respond to alerts, messages, etc. Thank you for introducing the product!

It needs a clock to replace my wristwatch.
Better still, it could come with a phone to replace my phone! Oh wait...
