Now that CES and Macworld are over, gadget makers are turning their attention to--what else?--Valentine's Day marketing. And that means pink is back, as if it had ever left.

Apple's suggested sweetheart offering is its brand-new pink 8GB Nano "perfect for people who are searching for a special Valentine's Day gift," which follows the pink Shuffle that was released in September as part of an industry-wide campaign against breast cancer. Unlike the special-edition Shuffle, however, the pink Nano appears to be a permanent addition.

Stole from Zune

Probably the only reason they are realising a Valentines Edition Nano is because the Zune team made a Valentines edition 80Gb Zune. Lol. Plus they origianlly had the pink 4 and 8 Gb

Finally...

I thought they merged the PRODUCT(RED) and pink iPod nanos! Those brats must've been turned off by the more contempoary wintery colours of "turquoise and jade", as described by Jasmine. I bet the iPod nano would eventually release a 16GB/32GB black model to keep up with tradition.

No, Zune stole it from the iPod.

I don't know where you get your facts from, but the last time I checked Apple had their Apple shuffle in pink and they had an older generation nano in pink also.

Personally, I want them to do a purple iPod Nano. There are not enough purple electronics out there.
