Ever since Crave UK called the chocolate-colored Asus U6S "completely edible," our sweet tooth has been twinging. Thankfully, we in the States can satisfy the craving, because Asus just announced that the U6S is headed our way.

The glossy brown, 3.3-pound laptop features a 12.1-inch LED-backlit display that keeps its profile (somewhat) slim. Inside the case, Asus offers a broad range of processor choices to fit every budget, from the single-core 1.86GHz Celeron M540 to the latest 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo T7700. The rest of the platform includes Nvidia GeForce 8400M G graphics, 2GB of 667MHz RAM, 5,400rpm hard drives up to 250GB (including an option for a hybrid drive with 256MB flash memory), and support for Draft N wireless.

Pricing starts at $1,799 for the mocha brown model; a white version is also available for $50 less. For more detailed information, see CNET UK's full review of the Asus U6S.

Ausus website and forum

Asus website is not accessible right now ? what a surprise! And its forum is early 1990 chic! Sorry to post this here, but if you have any influence at all (or even if you do not), please let Asus have it! Tell them to do something about their support (non-responsive), including their forums. Thank you!

PS, I almost tried to be "funny", calling them "Anus", that is how I detest that company's attitude towards its customers (I am one ? motherboard).
