Guitar Hero Mobile (review) is now widely available on many U.S. carriers and cell phone platforms, though at the time of this taping, it was only offered on Verizon. Cozy up with the cell phone interface and keypad frets in the First Look video below, and don't miss experiencing the thrill of star power and the burning shame of getting booed off the stage.

How can it be today's featured download if you can't download it?

From the review:
Verizon users can get it under itchy fingertips within 48 hours (I'm told) by texting ROCK to 46966. Everyone else can still text the code to be notified when the build is ready for their phone.

I got this game on my Verizon phone yesterday - it was under Get it Now, Fun & Games, and in the What's New and Exclusives area. I didn't think the sound would be very good - perhaps midi like that Guitar Legend mobile game, but it sounds mp3. Fun.

I guess I'm a lucky duck with my Verizon. The game rocks no pun intended!
