What would you give to get your hands on the world's first unlocked Apple iPhone? How about three more 8GB iPhones plus a Nissan 350Z? That's the price for which overnight teenage tech celebrity George Hotz, who unlocked the iPhone enabling it to work on any network, has agreed to part with his hacked gadget. According to his blog, Hotz accepted the offer on Saturday from Terry Daidone, the founder of cell-phone refurbishing company Certicell. If only Hotz had held out for a BMW or an Audi, he could have used his new ride to play music from one of his new phones. We're pretty confident that the whiz kid might be able to figure out a workaround for his new Nissan, though.

Better start selling those iPhones!

Nissan 350Z + New Jersey + 17 year old = College Tuition

BMW or Audi would have been a mortgage!

In truth, he's looking at a minimum of $300 a month for basic coverage...that assumes anyone will cover him at all.

If he has to go into the "pool" that 350Z will be on sale very soon. NJ has become much better, but still very expensive, especially for the young.

Romanom - $300/month minimum?! Please. At 17, with a new car, I paid $40 a month. Yes - $40 a month, that's with a good grade discount through USAA. He might not be able to get a deal as good as I got two years ago (when I was 17), but $300 a month is absolutely preposterous. I pay $33/month now for a car equal in value to an '07 350z.
