Monster's teeny, tiny Shuffle charger

The Monster iSlimCharger USB charger for the Apple iPod Shuffle is so small and cute that I'm having difficulties restraining myself from digressing into cuteoverload speak.

The itty, bitty charger is about three quarters of the size of the Shuffle itself and plugs into the player's only port (the 3.5mm headphone jack) to allow for syncing and charging through any standard USB connection.

Props to Monster for pricing the accessory at a reasonable $14.95.

For more than five years, Jasmine France has covered a variety of tech products for CNET--from scanners to keyboards to GPS devices--but she's happiest where she is now: sitting atop a pile of MP3 players, "testing" every music service known to man, and jamming a variety of earbuds in every shape and color into her absurdly small ears. I got a similar USB charger like this when the 2nd Gen Shuffle first came out. It was $5. Now it's at Amazon.com for $0.01. That's right, a penny!!! Works like a charm for me.

by tlite722 August 12, 2007 9:28 PM PDT
the IncipioBud by Incipio has been out for about a year now at half he price. I'm glad to see that the advertising money Monster pays CNET pays off nicely in sweetheart reviews and mentions. Why pay double for this thing?
