Although I'm pretty sick of everything iPod, especially because I can't exactly afford to chuck my red BlackBerry Pearl out the window and pick up an iPhone, Apple is allegedly coming out with a new product--what else is new?

Is Apple about to add a new Nano?

Gizmodo is reporting that this time Apple's releasing the revamped iPod Nano next week. The flash-based device is allegedly going to be called the iPod Touch. The price, according to the blog, will range from $300 for the 4GB and $400 for the 8GB.

Honestly, the new iPod Nano (if it looks anything like the projected image) is going to be cute and bubbly, but it definitely won't take the spotlight from its much sexier, sophisticated cousin, the iPhone.

However, rumor has it that a new iPhone-like-six-gen iPod (with the touch-screen interface) is set for release early next year, Gizmodo reports. We'll just have to wait and see.

9to5mac.com is the source, not Gizmodo

I don't understand why blogs link to other blogs who link to other blogs when they can do the work and find the source.

Blogs always taking about the iPod and not the Zen
by davinp August 1, 2007 8:08 AM PDT
I hate that blogs are constantly taking about the iPod and that a new one is coming out. What about the Creative Zen, a better player? A Zen is expected soon too. Creative invented the GUI technology, not Apple. Creative doesn't get the recognition it deserves.

Gizmodo is garbage
by Viddrumr32 August 2, 2007 5:50 AM PDT
Stop getting your news from Gizmodo. All they do is use recycled speculation
from macrumors.com and they're not even good at it. If you go to macrumors
you'll see that they removed the price points so we don't know what the prices
will be. And they still speculate over the 6g ipod release coming in late august
when it is more like late september after the ipod mac discount thing they have
running. Also its the 6g ipod not the new nano that is being referred to as the
ipod touch. Gizmodo needs to learn how to copy its news better.

Sell your Pearl

I sold my Pearl and 80gb Ipod Video for almost 600 and cashed in on an iphone.

How'd you get nearly $600 for THAT combo?
by make_or_break August 3, 2007 8:16 AM PDT
Your Pearl unlocked? Even then, they seem to sell for only around $200 to $250 for a used one. Considering that Pearls are dirt cheap from U.S. providers (one penny from ATT on Amazon, $50 from T-Mobile, also on Amazon), and that used 80GB iPods are lucky to break $250 these days on eBay, it sounds like you REALLY took someone for a ride.
