Huzzah, all hail the HTC Kaiser! The latest Windows Mobile 6 smart phone from HTC has been given the thumbs-up by the FCC, clearing the way for a U.S. release. According to the FCC filings, it appears there are, in fact, three models: the HTC KAIS100 with a 3-megapixel camera; the KAIS110 with no camera; and the KAIS120 with a 3-megapixel camera on back and VGA lens on front. All three run on the GSM/HSDPA network and have integrated Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. The smart phone also features a slider design, full QWERTY keyboard, and pivoting screen. There's no official word on availability or carrier, but with the HSDPA support, chances are the Kaiser will land at AT&T.

Verizon, please...?

For the love of god stop giving AT&T all the cool phones and bring this one to Verizon. It'll do MUCH better on their networks.

Verizon = phone ghetto

Verizon and Sprint don't get cool phones, because CDMA/EV-DO networks make up only a small portion of the global mobile phone markets. HTC and other phone manufactures don't see it as a worthwhile investment.

There's a reason they say "it's the network" and not "it's the phones."
Verizon's EV-DO Rev. A...ehhh.

Verizon's EV-DO Revision A network can't stand a chance with HSDPA and HSUPA.

I guess Verizon could upgrade EV-DO to become faster but HSDPA and HSUPA will always be better because when with GSM, UMTS can be used simultaneously with GSM phone calls so you can talk and go to the internet, and that's why VideoSharing and VideoCalling is possible.

Verizon will need to upgrade to EV-DV in order for the network to support simultaneous voice and data services.

And that's probably why Verizon is getting the cheaper end in technology.
