Stay juiced even while camping

It's almost summer, and we know how popular camping is with Cravers. We think it ranks right up there with a root canal.

But fear not, CrackBerry addicts, there's at least a glimmer of hope in the "Eureka N!ergy Tent." It may not save you from bears, mosquitoes and snoring camp mates, but GeekSugar says it does have three 12-volt plugs that can be connected to a separately sold power pack to keep all your gadgets juiced no matter how remote the wilderness.

Be warned, though: The large size is supposedly designed for eight people (yeah right), so be sure to snag an outlet early. And don't forget the earplugs.

If you need electricity while camoping, your better off with an RV. Camping does not involve electricity. If your going camping, you should live like you would have over 100 years ago. I myself being a gadget freak can't do this so I just camp in My RV where I can have TV, Stove, Microwave and a laptop. (Oh and Heat and A/C... It is so hot in Ohio right now!!!)

Line the orange cover with solar cells!

You wouldn't need the extra power pack if that whole orange cover were covered with solar cells. People would buy it, I guarantee!

Tent Camping and RV camping are TOTALLY different. You can't carry an RV up the mountain with you. Not to mention the HUGE price difference.
This tent rocks, I'll totally get one someday.

Have you seen the battery pack this needs!?!

I looked up the ting Eureka intends to power the several 12-volt outlets in the tent. It's huge (I imagine there's a car battery in it). Nothing backpackable about it.

Now, as another reader suggests, the tent fly incorporating solar cells would be cool, BUT when I'm camping, the tent is rolled and packed away during the brightest part of the day and the stars/moon don't charge my electronics very well.

Caravan is a trailer towed behind a road vehicle to provide a place to sleep which is more comfortable and protected than a tent (although there are fold-down tent trailers). It provides the means for people to have their own home on a journey or a vacation (holiday), without relying on a motel or hotel, and enables them to stay in places where none is available.
