Zune paints the town (watermelon) red

It's about as exciting as its pink cousin, but the Zune will reportedly be coming out in a red version on June 10. (It's also about as timely, coming some seven months after the red iPod made its debut.)

There's no indication of any Bono connection to Microsoft's latest limited edition, and Engadget says its shade appears to be more of a duller watermelon than the iPod's fire-engine hue. Some might find some appropriate symbolism here--but not us, of course.

Either way, we're going way out on a limb and predicting that it'll do better than the classic brown.

Keepin it fugly...

This thing could of really used a light green trim with a dark green button. Just like the pink one needed white accents. In fact, the black button only looks good on the black case. Maybe it's okay on the brown one. But I'd never have an mp3 player the same color as my poo. Now that I think about it- I have never seen anctual person walking around with a Zune. Do people really buy these?

the color could not be just right huh? if for example you try to engage for a similar color version the zune if the watermelon theory is correct could not be readjusted to set for marketing purposes...
