Tsunamis, hurricanes hit 'Second Life'

NOAA demonstrates weather phenomena on the virtual world 'Second Life.'

This just in from CNET News.com's intrepid Second Life correspondent Daniel Terdiman: Village repeatedly destroyed by tidal wave! Actually, it's the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)'s virtual demonstration of global weather phenomena. You can watch a village get devastated by a tsunami, fly into the eye of a hurricane and get submerged by a melting glacier--all without getting your shoes wet.
