So you think the likes of Spider-Man and Pirates of the Caribbean have saturated the market with merchandising? Wait till the Transformers juggernaut gets into full gear as the movie's July 4 opening nears.

We've already seen an "Optimus Prime" helmet, GM cars and, just yesterday, some Transformer Nikes. Now, Tokyomango says Takara Tomy is assaulting our auditory canals with the "Transformers Music Label Frenzy and Rumble" earphones. With a name like that, can there be any doubt that they're from Japan?

This product is for Japan only!

Like the transforming Nike shoes and Soundwave MP3 player, the Rumble/Frenzy headphones are for the Japanese market only and are not movie tie-in products.

The only way to get them stateside is to buy them from an importer.

That transformer in my ear doesn't look that pretty to me... If you want a nice example of brand concept then I can recommend Zappos. They seem to be quite creative and realistic about their targets. A transformer in my ear... hrrr... maybe a porsche transformer car... that would probably sound much better...
