Gadget keeps kids out of hot water

If you don't have small kids, skip this item because it'll probably seem like a waste of money. But if you do, you'll totally understand why it's a good idea. How many times have you or your rug rats ended up with scalded fingers after checking the bath faucet? Same here.

The "Digital Bath Spout Cover" is designed to keep you and your family out of the burn ward by automatically monitoring the water temperature as it rises. Even better, its digital display uses a simple color code ("red means too hot") that even parents can understand. As a side benefit, it can help avoid wasting water too.

But as much as we like this idea, we can't help but point out this typo in the product description: "Guards against scolding." Now that would be worth the $31 price alone.

Thanks and stuff

Thanks for the nice comments about the product. We here at 4moms love it
when people like what we are doing. As a heads up, we don't think the
product guards against "scolding" or "Scalding" for that matter. The
suggestion and typo is not part of our corporate listing but was a thought
added (and misspelled) by a retailer. Seriously though, the most serious
burns to children take place when water temperature exceeds 120 degrees
which is why we (and countless others) STRONGLY recommend setting the
maximum temperature on your hot water heater to 120 degrees. This
product is designed to make it easier for moms and dads to give their kids a
bath and is a great tool to test and adjust the setting on your hot water
heater. It is not intended to guard against scalding (or scolding). Please
contact us at any time with thoughts or comments (info@4momsOnLine.com)
