Watch your pizza as it cooks: Mmm...pizza...

As a pizza lover, I think this Japanese gizmo is pretty cool. (Well, it's sold on a Japanese site. The product appears to have English writing on it. Hmm...) It'll cost you about $70, and will cook your homemade 12-inch pizzas in open air. So you can watch...and salivate. No need to shut all that tomato sauce-y beauty up into the oven. Leave it to the Japanese to come up with kooky food solutions like this one.

I can smell the pepperoni already.

UPDATE: Looks like this is available stateside, and has been for some time. Guess I can try it out...

a fair number of Japan-centric blogs have been writing about it recently. Maybe it just made its way over there?
It's been out in the USA for over a decade...

Seriously. They've been around for as long as the other pizza ovens have. It's just a different style of cooking. You can get them at any local retail store (Walmart, etc).

It's called the Presto Pizza Pizazz, it's been around for years. Mine is almost 4 years old. You'll see it around Christmas time in every store, the rest of the year you can find it online i found one at fatwallet or something like that just now for 35 bucks
