Fans of Sony products are often disappointed at the January Consumer Electronics Show to discover that the company doesn't have very much to say. Sure, there's a big Sony booth and a handful of token product announcements and press releases, but it's always small potatoes compared to the dozens of new items on display from competitors such as Samsung, Philips, and Panasonic. But that's entirely by design: rather than get lost in the CES maelstrom, Sony opts to launch its new line of products at its own Sony-only line show. We've got complete coverage of all the new crave-worthy devices, including everything from giant-screen HDTVs to digital cameras. Read on:

What about Apple?

What Sony's doing is no different from Apple snubbing CES, and having it's own new-product presentation at it's Macworld. The only difference is Sony doesn't try to have it's show at the SAME TIME as CES, like Apple does, so at least Sony lets the others who show their wares at CES have it's moment in the spot light. Steve Jobs must get a personal thrill at upstaging the products at CES, the way he deliberately schedules Macworld during the same time each year.....

as a matter of fact, macworld and CES don't usually overlap. only this year, because CES mysteriously decided to break their tradition and schedule the event the same time macworld took place for years, macworld covered CES. so should apple have changed their date only to be nice?
besides, this post doesn't say anything against sony - you just invented yourself an opportunity to criticize apple.

They're perfect.

But Apple is perfect and Sony is crap, as you can see in the reply (there's only one at least, when you criticize Apple) where the reader gives the idea you need to invent reasons to criticize Apple.
what about apple...-_-

u know what realy ticks me off? all the the apple fanboys taking their hate on competitions on sites such as CNET.

i'm not saying u r one though

however, i think there are so many of these instances, cnet wants to keep their customers happy, and starting giving biased views as well. thats mi opinion anyways

besides, whats wrong with a company trying to adapt something good? for example: APPLE adapting INTEL processors. would that be a good enough example?
