We said they were coming and here they are.

Fantasea, in addition to its many other underwater housings, is now offering them for the Nikon D-80 and the Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi. Both housings are each available for $1,099 from Fantasea and can withstand a depth of up to 200 feet under water.

For you Nikonians out there, the Fantasea FD-80 comes with a standard port (18-70mm zoom lens), but you can also buy interchangeable port accessories for different SLR lenses. Functions that work with the casing include: mode selection, menu, ISO, auto-focus mode, metering mode, exposure compensation, white balance, image quality and size, focus mode selection, zoom control with the standard lens port, playback, trash, multi-selector control, monitor zoom, magnified optical viewfinder and light control for the LCD screen.

The Fantasea F400D is for the Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi, which is known in some countries as the Canon EOS 400D or Kiss X. This casing also offers a range of ports for different SLR lenses. It allows for the following features to function while the camera is housed: on/off, manual zoom, menu/information, shutter release, mode control, LCD display on/off, drive mode, aperture/exposure compensation control, auto-focus point selection, playback, erase, and command dial for shutter speed and aperture adjustments among others.

Whether or not you choose to take thousands of dollars worth of equipment (including lens and flash and their casings) under the sea to photograph fish is your call.
