Will the FishCam catch you a delicious bass?

Remember that bird-watching gizmo that interprets bird calls for you? I could've sworn it would be considered anathema to the whole raison d'etre of the pastime. But then one of our editors, Harry Fuller, who happens to be really serious about bird-watching, said that it was actually a cool device. So maybe I'm wrong when I think that certain classic professions are being corrupted by geeky gadgets.
Nevertheless, I think this one is a little much. Called the FishCam, this device is a $362 souped-up fishing rod with a camera attached to the line so that you can see what's going on in the vicinity of your lure. And, yes, it's all projected on a little hand-held TV for you. It could be kind of cool to see catfish and bluegill swarming around your hook, and I'm sure it'd be helpful to have a camera telling you when you might as well give up on a particularly depopulated zone of water, but it still seems like cheating to me.
So, fishing enthusiasts: does this get a thumbs-up or thumbs-down?

- Bass are absolutely a "good eat'n" fish.

- Yes, most sports fishermen do catch and release bass, however, we also generally take some of our catch (especially in stocked lakes) for fish fries. The meat is not as sweet as say a Brim or a Crappy, but is still delicious and easily filleted.
