Two new Casio Exilim cameras

Casio announced two new digital cameras today. They're quite different in price, resolution, and features, but both cameras share the same characteristics as every other Casio Exilim we've seen so far: they're small and slim.

The EX-Z75 is a follow-up to the company's budget-priced Casio Exilim EX-Z70. The 7-megapixel shooter is essentially identical to the Z70, except for its slightly larger 2.6-inch LCD screen. The Z75 has the same sensor, 3X lens, digital image stabilization, and 34 scene settings. The $230 camera might be worth a look when it hits stores in March, but you really don't need to get it if you already have a Z70.

The EX-Z1050 is another minor upgrade, this time to the Casio Exilim EX-Z1000. This 10-megapixel camera has the same features as its predecessor, with two exceptions. Like the Z75, the Z1050 adds a 2.6-inch LCD screen to the mix, offering a slightly larger display than the Z1000. It also features a much faster burst mode, which Casio claims can hit up to 7 frames per second. We won't believe it until we see it in the lab, but it sounds impressive. The Casio Exilim EX-Z1050 ships in March, with a suggested price of $300. Both the Z75 and Z1050 will be available in blue, pink, black, and silver colors.
