Abt Electronics won't be playing the PlayStation 3 inventory game when the new console launches. They'll be ignoring it.

Abt is a huge retailer in the Chicago area and is "very disappointed" by the scrawny allocations of PS3's Sony is offering retailers, according to an interview in TWICE magazine. Instead, Abt presold it's allocation back in July and will treat this weekend like any other, without a single mention of the PS3 in its advertising and promotions.

Sony is releasing 400,000 PS3's to the U.S. at launch. Even if they were only allocated to Wal-Mart, Target, Costco and Best Buy that would be a mere 83 units per store -- what's that, a 10-minute supply?
