Normally we're a fan of color choices for phones, but the Motorola L2's particular shade of pink is more Pepto-Bismol than My Little Pony, if you know what I mean.

If you haven't heard it before, pink is the new black. But what was once a hip and trendy color in the gadget world is now becoming quite cliche. But that hasn't stopped Motorola from rolling out a its pink version of the L2, an entry-level version of the Slvr L7 and the Slvr L6. Aside from the color, everything else remains the same: the slim form factor, the lack of a camera, the 1.75-inch screen, and the lame lack of Bluetooth.

Also, what's up with Cingular offering the silver L2 for free with a contract, as opposed to the $9.99 it's asking for this pink version? Oh well, I guess there's a price to pay if you want to go pink.
