Control this LED bulb with a smartphone

Do you want to lower the lights the James Bond way? Maybe Insteon's pricey smart LED bulb system could do the trick.

Too bad Edison couldn't see this.

Any modern Casanova looking for a suave way to dim the lights should check out the networked dimmable LED light bulb by Insteon. The 8W LED bulb supposedly glows at the same intensity as a 60W to 100W incandescent shiner, and costs a somewhat reasonable $29.99.

The real draw of the bulb is the capability to control it with any iOS or Android smartphone/tablet, but unfortunately, one must also purchase a $99 Insteon SmartLinc wall hub to make that functionality work. Affluent home automation experts can also manage the LED bulb with a $299 ISY994i controller. I guess to get "green," one must pay a pretty penny upfront to save in the long run.
